SELFPROOF 0112 - MASS-ENERGY EQUIVALENCE

CURRENT COSMOLOGY MODEL

In physics, the mass-energy equivalence is the concept that the mass of a body is a measure of its energy content. In this concept, mass is a property of all energy, and energy is a property of all mass, and the two properties are connected by a constant. This means (for example) that the total internal energy E of a body at rest is equal to the product of its rest mass m and a suitable conversion factor to transform from units of mass to units of energy. (Wikipedia 29 Mar 2012)

MALTA COSMOLOGY TEMPLATE

  • At the level of teels:
  • Every teel has the same mass. (see Argument 0103)
  • Energy in an individual teel can be as spin, speed, or as spinspeed which is the sum of its spin and speed.  (see Argument 0115

COMMENTARY

The Current Model and the Malta Template agree that there is a mass-energy equivalence in photons and objects more massive than photons. However, given that the Current Model doesn't acknowledge the existence of objects less substantial than photons, agreement stops there.

With objects less substantial than photons, the equivalence breaks down. The mass of every teel is the same and so, by extension, the mass of every teelpair is also the same. Energy is a property of a teelpair and the energy of a teelpair can vary from one to another. The energy possessed by a teelpair is a variable which results from its history and its current surroundings.

This doesn't affect the presence of the equivalence in photons and above. The mass-energy equivalence of a photon of a specific wavelength is so because the history and surroundings of the teelpairs the photon is made of dictate that it will be so.
