SELFPROOF 0116
- SPACETIME
CURRENT COSMOLOGY MODEL
In
physics, spacetime is any mathematical model that combines space and
time into a single continuum. Spacetime is usually interpreted with
space being three-dimensional and time playing the role of a fourth
dimension that is of a different sort from the spatial dimensions.

MALTA COSMOLOGY TEMPLATE
- The Universe consists of space and teels. (see Argument 0119)
- Space has no properties independent of the properties of the teels within it and is thus nothingness. (see Argument 0120)
- The property measures of the Universe are the sum of the property measures of its teels and teelpairs. (see Argument 0121)
- Teels are subject to the passage of time. (See Argument 0123)
- The Universe is subject to the passage of time because it is made out of teels. (see Argument 0124)
COMMENTARY
On the matter of spacetime, the Current Model and the Malta Template descriptions are fundamentally different.
- In the Current Model, the space and time model is a relativistic four dimensional continuum.
- In the Malta Template, the space and time model is Euclidean and not a four dimensional continuum.
The
results of some observations and experiments suggest that space and
time are a continuum, reinforcing the prevailing opinion among
physicists is that the relativistic model will be successful in the
end. That said, none of the results of the observations and
experiments are conclusive in that they are open to alternate
interpretations.
The Malta Template provides a
description but it doesn't have an opinion. It is an
"evolutionary" model that is only allowed "to play the hand it has".
Its hand consists of the known facts, combined with the bare
minimum of assumptions. No matter how it is played, the
hand does not produce a four dimensional spacetime continuum. Nor,
it appears from a cursory examination, would the use of any of the
alternate assumptions that are possible. And, tellingly, the hand
evolves naturally into the Universe we see about us today without ever
needing a four dimensional spacetime continuum.
