Note 6 - The future

At present, seven chapters of The Malta Template are online. The remaining chapters are blocked out and will be posted as they are completed.

  • When all sixteen chapters are online, the intention is that the site will be thrown open so that the scientific community at large can amend the chapters to take account of new developments as near to real time as possible.
  • When all sixteen chapters are online, the intention is that the whole scientific community will treat the chapters as a spine to which contributors can attach specialised chapters in order to make the Template a truly comprehensive description of the Universe.
  • When all sixteen chapters are online, the intention is that an appropriate mathematical description will be added to each argument.
  • When all sixteen chapters are online, the intention is that a "comments and queries" section will be added to each argument.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

The above schedule is very ambitious. The wish is that the Template will eventually grow into a comprehensive description of the largescale structure of the Universe, its history, its components, its structures, its processes, and its mechanisms. It is also intended that the Template should be irrefutable so that, as far as we can currently tell, it will be selfevidently right. If the Template can be completed as planned, it will have become a very large work indeed.

And there is the rub. I am a presentation mechanic, not a scientist. Over the past 25 years I have built up an extensive knowledge of the subject but it is an unstructured knowledge. I am capable of laying down the "spine" of the Template in enough detail for it to selfprove satisfactorily but it is work that proceeds painfully slowly.

Truth to tell, completing the spine would be a major task for someone bright, fit, and young. I have not fitted that description for a good many years, so, for the spine to be completed within a reasonable timescale, I need properly-qualified assistance. My estimate is that a team of four should be able to complete the task in a year. If such help is not forthcoming ..... well ..... that will be a shame.
